Before your Elight (IPL) Skin Rejuvenation
Avoid the sun, UVA rays (sun bed), and self-tanning products at least 15 days before your session. Use a high sun protection factor if the area treated is often exposed to the sun.
Do not use aggressive products on your skin, for example, peelings. Stop using Vitamin A or Retinoic Acid (anti-wrinkle) cream on the area to be treated three days before. Go to your session with the skin clean, and free of cream, makeup, and perfume.
Inform us before any session you are taking any medicine.
On your session day, avoid other heat sources, for instance, vigorous physical exercise and a sauna.
Before you commence treatment you need to pop in for your FREE patch test and fill in a short consultation form to establish your suitability, this just takes 15 minutes but is necessary to ensure that there is no adverse reaction to the treatment, you get a good understanding of what’s involved and so the therapist can achieve the correct setting for your needs so you are getting the full benefit from the first pulse.
After 24hrs you can book your first session, on average it takes between 4 – 6 sessions to achieve the best results although you should see an improvement from the second session, you must leave 15 – 21 days in between sessions, no more no less for the best results.

If the skin becomes hot or itchy, try to reduce the temperature by using a cold compress.
